In Time of Need
We understand that making the many decisions that come at a time of loss can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. Inquire! There's no obligation! No doublespeak or hidden charges, and no anxiety. Shopping? We can provide you with a quote that few funeral homes are willing to match.
But before you call... If the death has occurred at home with hospice care, you must first contact the hospice provider before we can take your family member into our care. If the death has occurred at home without hospice care, you must first call the local police department; they will contact the coroner or medical examiner, who will decide whether the decedent will be released immediately or released after their office has conducted an investigation, possibly an autopsy.
And...
Some medical examiner's offices in Wisconsin will charge a fee for taking a decedent to their office for examination; if they sign the death certificate there may be an additional charge for signing as well. Fees vary from county to county.
